Activating knowledge sharing in scientific research among faculty members to achieve competitive advantage of College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait

Abstract

Objectives: The aim of the study was to investigate the reality of knowledge sharing in scientific research among faculty members of College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait, to reveal the extent to which that reality differs according to the variables of the study and to submit procedural proposals to activate it. Method: The researcher followed the analytical descriptive methodology and used a scale of the reality of knowledge sharing in scientific research, and after investigating its validity and reliability, it was applied to an available sample of 194 faculty members in the College of Basic Education. Results: The results indicated that the reality of knowledge sharing in scientific research obtained an intermediate degree. As for the differences due the study variables, the results indicated that there are statistically significant differences due to gender, academic degree, and scientific department variables. Conclusion: Considering the results, the researcher presented some recommendations and procedural proposals to activate knowledge sharing among faculty members at College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait to achieve the competitive advantage.
