Abstract

Objectives: Recognizing the role of electronic assessment methods in distance learning in achieving educational goals in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: The study followed the descriptive analytical method, and the case study approach collecting the primitive data with 28 participants, members of the academic body in the University of Sharjah chosen intentionally. Results: The results revealed the importance of the role of electronic assessment methods in achieving educational goals during the pandemic, especially during the lockdown, and the importance of their continuation as supportive means after Covid-19. Conclusion: The study recommends the importance of following cognitive models such as Bloom’s, and the use of electronic evaluation methods as supportive rather essential tools in evaluation.
