The Problems of Negative Systematic Significance in Al-Ghathami's Practice Cultural Criticism - A Deconstructive Reading in the Distortion of Quotation and the Mechanisms of Adapting it between Contradiction, Play, and Organic Unity.

Résumé

Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghathami relies in his cultural criticism on a set of theoretical foundations and terminological concepts. Perhaps the concept of (Negative) systemic significance is the most important of these concepts. It is the main pillar on which Al-Ghadami builds most of his cultural project. This research has tried to study this systemic significance to show some of the problematic aspects that it sticks to it in (concomitant it) its manifestations (appearances) and applications within Dr. Al-Ghadami's cultural criticism practice. The research focuses on three problematic aspects: the problem of contradiction, the problem of play, and the problem of organic unity. The study of these problems revealed that Al-Ghadami's discourse suffers from the same systemic defects that he had encountered in Arab culture. That is, cultural criticism suffers from the same defects that it came to expose and warn us against. It also became clear that Al-Ghadami's criticism depends on the idea that comes before his criticism and analysis; and the idea for him is generated before the analysis, not a result of it; the idea is the purpose and the subject. Therefore, these defects are natural, and there is no need to fear them because human thought differentiates between imaginary aesthetic ideas and realistic cultural ideas and does not confuse them. This is the opposite of what Al-Ghadami thought. The significance of this research lies in revealing one of the problematic aspects that did not get its due from research and criticism in a project that is considered one of the most important intellectual and critical projects in the present Arab culture. The research relied on the mechanisms of deconstruction strategy, as a critical approach in which it analyses its material, that was represented in the work of Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghathami.
