Abstract

The research deals with the aspects of vocal formation in Saif al-Quds's Diwan, and it aims to reveal the aesthetics of vocal formation in the poems of the Diwan, and measuring the effectiveness of sounds and syllables in revealing the intentions of the poetic text. It answers the following questions: What is the importance of vocal formation in revealing the poetic text and its implications? Does the difference in voices affect making the stylistic difference?

The research uses the stylistic approach, and   in some cases, it uses the descriptive approach in analyzing the poems.

The research deals with some vocal formation issues: rhyme sounds, vocal ranges, vocal succession, vocal substitution, spatial inversion of sounds, and stress on syllables.

Main results:

  • The audio material has a great impact on recalling the meaning or gesticulating with it.
  • The sound formation of the poem contributed to linking its parts, and also gave it a tinge of consistency and harmony.
  • The subjectivity of the poets was reflected in their creative production. This was evident through the vocal formations in the poems that carried various meanings and expansive connotations.
  • Poets used the technique of vocal succession, which created tonal rhythms that were included in the textual fabric of the poems, affecting the recipient and directing his visions.
  • The poets used the phenomenon of phonetic and syllabic substitution to express their poetic intentions, and the phenomenon of spatial inversion of sounds revealed the structures of significance in the text.
  • The poets varied in the mechanisms of stress and intonation on the vocal syllables.
  • The research recommended the study of the rhythmic structure and the collection and study of modern Arabic poetry.
