Journal Policies and Guidelines

Submissions:

1- The Journal publishes papers in Arabic, English, and French.

2- The author should be a PhD-holder, or if the author is not a PhD-holder, to co-author the paper with a PhD-holder author.

3- Procedures for assessing manuscripts are based on the anonymity of the author(s) and confidentiality of the assessor’s reports.

4- The Journal does not charge any fees for manuscript processing and publishing.

5- The Journal sends the author an acknowledgement receipt.

Preparation of Submitted Manuscripts:

1- Texts and endnotes of submitted manuscripts should be double-spaced throughout.

2- Inclusive of endnotes, appendices, images, charts, and bibliography, the length of manuscripts is 7,000 – 10,000 Authors must number the pages of their manuscripts.

3- Manuscripts should not contain any information that discloses their authors’ identity.

4- An abstract of the manuscript must be provided:

  • The abstract must contain 250 words in the same language used in the manuscript. It must also be translated into English if the manuscript is in Arabic and into Arabic if the manuscript is in either English or French.
  • The abstract must include the following: the aim of the research, the research problem, the methodology used, the results of the research, as well as the recommendations and the manuscript’s keywords. 

5- Citations in English manuscripts must conform to the MLA Style (the latest edition) for both in-text citations and works cited pages. 

6- Manuscripts must be submitted as "Microsoft Word Document" only website https://journals.ku.edu.kw/ajh.

7- The Journal’s editors reserve the right to amend phrasing and punctuation in manuscripts accepted for publication.

8- Researchers are kindly requested to fill in an Author Confirmation form and a short Bio form to upload them with the submission copy on the site.

9- Once the Manuscript is approved, the publication will be from one to two years.

In accordance with the bylaws and ethical codes of Kuwait University Publication Council, the Arab Journal for the Humanities observe the Council’s principles regarding publication ethics and good practices.
