Prof. Sammy Showail

Sammy Showail has a Multifunctional background where he has experiences in academe, architecture, contracts administration, management, and negotiations. He has professional experience as a consultant to the Strategic Energy Institute at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He currently works at Saudi Aramco in Corporate Planning.

Before joining KFUPM and Saudi Aramco, Sammy ran S+G consulting in Canada, concentrating on change management. His experiences include working in the Saudi healthcare market as an advisor, and an Assistant Professor at the Craig School of Business (Missouri Western State University in the US) and the Olayan School of Business (American University of Beirut). He also worked as an independent consultant in the Office Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in Jeddah as a member of the Kingdom’s delegation to climate change negotiations. He earned his Ph.D. degree in management, from Washington University in St. Louis, specializing in Organizational Behavior and Strategic Planning, and several master's degrees in management and construction management. He has several publications and conference presentations about contemporary management issues. He developed case studies about the ethical values of Saudi Arabian companies.
