The study aimed to examine the direct relationship between the destructive leadership behavior and the spread of counterproductive work behaviors (CWBs) for workers in the service districts in Minia Governorate, and the indirect role of organizational commitment as a mediator variable. Through the survey of (324) employees, the findings indicate a positive correlation between destructive leadership behavior and the spread of counterproductive work behaviors of workers, and that the most important destructive leadership behaviors in the regard are loss of professional morality, corruption and abuse of subordinates. The results also showed that all three components of organizational commitment (affective, normative, and continuous) partially mediate between destructive leadership behavior and spread of counterproductive work behavior.
