Irony in the text; This research aims to understand the nature and function of the term irony. They remove its ambiguity and expand its function. This goal is achieved by studying the types of ironies, their definitions, their problems, and their applications through; description and analysis. ...Many problems have accompanied this term since its inception .... is the .... First, the problem of confusing irony and sarcasm. ...Second, the problem of multiple types of Irony and their definitions; Such as (verbal irony), (romantic irony), (dramatic irony), (irony of fate) Third, lack. of separation between the use of irony in the literary text, and its occurrence in daily life. That is why the researcher divided this research into three chapters: Chapter one .... It is concerned with the nature of the term irony and its problems. In it the researcher, came up with one concept and definition of the term; (To understand words, deeds, or something that is understood without its truth, then a problem occurs)). ...Chapter two is about the: The irony function in the literary text. It uses a constructive and aesthetic technique, and it occurs in everyday life. Chapter ... three is about the application of the Irony through verses from the wise Qur’an.
