About the Journal
Founded in 1980, Annals of the Arts and Social Sciences (formerly Annals of the Faculty of Arts until 1999) is a refereed periodical dedicated to the publication of research in Arabic and English as monographs within the interests of the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences at Kuwait University and parallel academic bodies and institutes.
The Editor in chief is a professor and faculty member of the college of Arts or the Social Sciences, however  members of the editorial board are appointed from professors and associate professors in the different specialties in the two mentioned colleges. The editorial Board receives advice from an advisory board of specialists in the liberal arts generally chosen from various literature, humanities and social studies at various renowned universities.
This is an open access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/ her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.
Objective:
The Annals of Kuwait University is a blind reviewed quarterly that publishes original research in Arabic and English as monographs in areas relevant to the liberal Sciences. The Annals is part of the Kuwait University Academic Publication Council which publishes several refereed journals of diverse academic pursuits. To promote and broaden the scope of knowledge inside and outside Kuwait.
Submitted manuscripts are peer-reviewed by two or three academics who are well-reputed internationally or locally. Evaluation observe the following:
1. The originality and importance of the submitted research.
2. Innovation and contribution to existing knowledge in the investigated field.
3. Choice of relevant research method (field of study, sample, tools, and statistics if applicable).
4. Organization of topics and sub-topics, lay- out of the research elements.
5. Clarity of style and infallibility of language (including typos).
6. References and correctness of documentation.
7. Final assessment of the research, the manuscript is:
accepted for publication without any amendments
accepted with minor changes
accepted with major changes
rejected.
